How best to transfer to Lagou Raxi Country Hotel, Lafkos
Lafkos is located on the Pelion peninsula approximately 380 km from Athens, 270 km from Thessaloniki, 343 km from Patras, 353 km from Igoumenitsa and 45 km from Volos.

Flying to Athens airport?
You will need a taxi to take you from the airport to Ktel Liosion (45 min). From there you can take a comfortable inter-city bus with WiFi bus to Volos (4,5 hrs )and then a taxi to come to Lagou Raxi in Lafkos village (1 hr).
Transfer Time: 6 hrs 15 min
Flying to Thessaloniki Airport?
You will need a taxi to take you from the airport to Ktel Thessalonikis (45 min). From there you can take a comfortable inter-city bus with WiFi to Volos (2.15 hrs )and then a taxi to come to Lagou Raxi in Lafkos village (1 hr).
Transfer Time: 4 hrs
The best option? Via nearby Skiathos Island.
Flying to Skiathos (JSI) Either direct, from a large number of European airports, or transiting from further afield at one of these. Or transit in Athens airport.
We can arrange a taxi to take you to Koukounaries Beach Port (30 min). If you wish you can enjoy the beautiful beach or lunch in a local taverna to remind yourself that you are in Greece! We arrange for a water taxi to take you across from Skiathos to the main land at Katigiorgis Port (10 min). A local taxi driver will pick you up from Katigiorgis Port and to bring you to Lagou Raxi (40 min).
Transfer Time: 1 hr 20 min
Alternatively, you can fly into VOLos from a smaller number of destinations. The airport bus/taxi takes 1hr. 30 minutes to Lagou Raxi.
By car
Make for Volos from the E75 motorway – Greek motorways are mostly quiet, well designed and a pleasure to drive. You can take the Ring road, or cross Volos, near to the Argonafton promenade.
Access ports are on the West coast – Igoumenitsa (using the Egnatia Odos motorway and via Ioanna/Meteora) or Patras (via Delphi).
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
When you enter Lafkos by car from the direction of Volos, please follow the main road until you see a “Lagou Raxi” sign and then turn in to the paved road following the signs. After 50m. move right onto the asphalt road and follow more signs for 500m.
